On Saturday, November 14, 2015 The North Bay Chapter of Project Linus will conduct its Annual Holiday Craft Bazaar…
The North Bay Chapter in Petaluma has created and delivered 11,825 blankets since the chapter was founded.
The mission of Project Linus is “..to provide love, a sense of security, warmth and comfort to children who are seriously ill, traumatized, or otherwise in need. We do this by giving them gifts of new, handmade blankets and afghans, lovingly created for Project Linus by volunteer blanketeers. The Blanketeers are part of our mission, as well: we seek to provide a rewarding and fun service opportunity for interested individuals and groups in local communities, for the benefit of children.”
There has been a great amount of activity in American alley of late with artists creating public art, murals, etc. I don’t pretend to understand the background to this activity but it has certainly been something to observe over the last few days.
It is part of an annual celebration sponsored by the O+Festival
At the moment, the various murals can be seen from Putnam Plaza to the American Alley exit on Western Avenue. When walking the route you have to look carefully on both sides of the Alley and up the sides of the buildings as there are many smaller murals in addition to the larger works.
